About IMAGES
IMAGES has been in existence in The Hague since 1984, and has a growing and committed membership, despite the constant change in the expatriate community in the area. Members come from many different countries and span many ages.
All interests are covered: prints and slides, colour and black & white, and digital. We are a friendly, enthusiastic group of photographers and we motivate and learn from each other by exchanging ideas, developing new skills and critiquing each other's photos. We do our best to cater for beginners as well as for experienced photographers - through help, advice, exchange of information and new challenges.
We hold monthly meetings in English in The Hague, as well as extra evenings for beginners or for the critique of photos, field trips, visits to exhibitions, practical sessions/workshops, and social evenings. We hold regular exhibitions and host a Photographer of the Year competition and Photo of the Month.
You will find a large selection of our members’ photos on our website which are definitely worth browsing. As well as an active Forum, a monthly newsletter is circulated by email to members, containing information on club activities plus useful tips on places to photograph and local offers for processing and equipment.
IMAGES has grown considerably in recent years and now boasts almost 60 members. We meet in the lounge area of the Café-Restaurant Gember which is located at the Museum of Photography in The Hague. If you are interested in joining us for an evening or would like some information on our activities please take a look at the Membership pages.
